LESSONS FROM THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
The 2019 Coronavirus pandemic is an ongoing world epidemic of a SARS-CO2 virus known as COVID-19.
The
outbreak was first identified in Wuhan, Province of Hubei in Central China in November 17, 2019 and it is since 3/11/2020 a WORLD PANDEMIC. It expanded rapidly due to the non-stop travel and tourism characteristic of our times. The virus is very contagious and it is affecting the entire world population in circumstances unknown to humanity.
Efforts to
prevent the virus spreading include travel
restrictions, quarantines, curfews, workplace hazard controls, event cancellations, and
facility closures. These include the quarantines of municipalities, states
and even countries with various border closures or incoming passenger
restrictions, screening at airports and train stations, and outgoing
passenger travel bans. Schools and
universities have closed either on a nationwide or local basis
in more than 160 countries, affecting more than 1.5 billion students.
The
pandemic has led to severe global socioeconomic
disruption, the postponement or
cancellation of sporting, religious, and cultural events, and
widespread fears of supply shortages. The globe is under attack and the battle
will conduce to fundamental social, political and economic changes.
Here the Meeroff team will soon
bring to the public a presentation concerning the actions needed to protect humanity against future similar type of events
